From the famous folk-inspired ballet music of Manuel de Falla to the Spanish dances evoked by Isaac Albeniz, Young and Fagan will be performing at the Wolumla Hall on Saturday, October 13, doors open 7pm.
Fagan will be hot on the heels from a successful tour in Europe at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Germany, Italy and Spain and will be releasing his new Spanish vinyl album “El Vito” on the tour, the first new full vinyl Spanish guitar album in Australia and internationally in over 20 years.
Joaquin Rodrigo’s famous “Concierto de Aranjuez” is explored, combined with stunning orchestral realisation by piano, and Egberto Gismonti’s “Frevo Rasgado”, first brought to fame by guitarists Paco De Lucia and John McLaughlin, will be transformed for concert piano and 10-string guitar.
