The Bega War Memorial Pool opened its gates on Monday, October 1 to match the start of school holidays and the water has been sitting around a nice 25 degrees Celsius.
Pool operator Mark Philipzen encouraged people to become members of the pool, saying it was a change of pace, something different and new for your body.
“Get out and enjoy the beautiful spring weather in the Bega Valley,” he said.
“[Swimming] is a great form of exercise to work on your summer body.
“It’s a great family atmosphere where everyone has a lot of fun. We like to see old members coming back and we always welcome new members as well.”
A single adult season pass is $125, while a family pass is $250.
The Bega pool is open from 6am-6pm Monday to Friday and 10am-4pm Saturday and Sunday.
