The Bega Tathra Safe Ride – NSW Bike Week Community Ride drew about 250 riders on Sunday for the journey from Bega to the coast.
Bega Tathra Safe Ride secretary Doug Reckord said over $3500 raised from the event would go towards the Mayoral Appeal Fund.
He said 10 riders from homes destroyed in the Tathra bushfire on March 18 joined in and the ones he knew had “a really great time”.
“It was a really nice day and we were really pleased how everything turned out,” he said.
Mr Reckord thanked the volunteers that made it work, major sponsor Bega Cheese and the “patient motorists” who waited for the cyclists to ride along the road.
