On Thursday, Tulgeen held its Footy Colours Day in Bega, raising about $200 for cancer research.
There were games and giveaways, and clients and staff performed a chicken dance for five-year-old Joshua Oakhill from Eden who has been battling cancer.
“People with a disability are part of our community so they are very concerned about cancer as well. A lot of them have had cancer affect them through family or carers,” Tulgeen’s media, marketing and events facilitator Lisa Miller Bradley said.
Tulgeen clients Taylor Kearny and James Cosis won Roosters and Storm footballs in a raffle, with the balls donated by Bega’s Sportspower.
