About 320 children joined in the school’s colour run on Friday, September 21, where they ran around an obstacle course before crawling through a tunnel where they were showered with pink, orange, blue, red and yellow.
President of the school’s P&C Rod McDonald said colour runs were great events because they got all the children involved in the fun.
“It doesn’t matter how athletic you are, it’s just about getting involved,” he said.
He said it had turned into a community event with about 40 parents involved.
The goal was to raise funds for the school, with money going towards excursions and equipment, among other things, Mr McDonald said.
About $3000 was raised from the event.
