Skateboard teachers Rachel Delphin and Richard Flude from Ownlife ran workshops for anyone keen to learn a few new tricks on their boards. After a couple of hours lunch was a welcome break, provided by the Bega Lions as well as Salvation Army, with free sausage sandwiches, cheese toasties and drinks.
Then it was into the competition to find the best lines on scooters, skateboards and BMX bikes.
Also on hand were local Police/PCYC officers and the BVSC keen to hear ideas for potential skatepark improvements from those who use it most.
BVSC community development officer Ange McKechnie said she'd had great feedback on the day and the youth there were really engaged.
