Thursday saw a great competitive field in a Single Stableford event, with some very good scores being recorded.
The day’s winner was Laurie Billman with 39 points, just in front of Tim Collins with 37 points. Balls went to 36 points.
As highlighted previously, Saturday’s second round of the 2018 Bermagui-Bega Challenge saw the weather cause a stoppage in play.
Following a dubious recount, via the Tarraganda-Duckworth system, Bega was heralded as the day’s winners 20.00 to 17.36.
Given Bermagui’s narrow lead of 40.1 to 38.5 after Round 1, Bega were subsequently crowned 2018 champions. Thanks to all players who braved the conditions and played.
This week’s Single Stableford event is the last chance to compete in the next round of the 4BBB Matchplay event, so grab a mate and enjoy a round at the Bega Country Club.
