Its social enterprise Stitches and Prints made the bags from hessian, repurposing coffee bean sacks.
Supported employees were involved in every part of the bag making process including cutting, sewing, screen printing and delivery.
Tulgeen gave special thanks to Vittoria Coffee based in Sydney and Alfresco Coffee based in Moruya for providing the hessian coffee bean sacks to Tulgeen.
“Through this initiative, Bega Valley Shire Council is effectively providing paid, purposeful employment for people with disability in the Bega Valley,” Tulgeen enterprise manager Dave Akehurst said.
