Jack Chauvel was photographing his sister-in-law’s wedding at Comans Lane, Kameruka, on Saturday September 15, and caught something stunning.
Annie Gard and Theo Small tied the knot with a backdrop of wild winds and smoke-filled air, then ventured out after dark for photos.
The result will live long in their memories and wedding album.
Theo’s mother Belinda Keir said it was a wonderful family wedding, long-planned but with an unfortunate weather change on the day.
“We set the marquee up on Friday and then on Saturday the winds picked up,” Ms Keir said.
“We had the marquee tied down to a ute and a Rolls Royce!
“My nephew has lived here for a long time and said he’d never seen anything like it before.”
The happy couple are both musicians, Annie with a Masters from Juilliard and Theo working towards a Masters on baroque flute and double bass from Bremen.
They will be living in Candelo for a while before moving to Germany together in February.
