“The river has been my inspiration for art and writing for over a decade," she said.
“I walk my dogs there every day.
“When I first began walking there, at the time travelling in from Candelo to do so, weeds of all kinds were thick everywhere and I could not park my car at the river lest it fall victim to the hoons who liked to gather there for drag races.
“The exhibition reflects how vital the wellbeing of the river is to human and wildlife.”
The River is a solo exhibition of drawings and paintings by Ms Buck and will open on Friday, September 7 at 5pm at Spiral Gallery, Bega. The exhibition runs to September 26.
