View Club

Bega Evening VIEW Club will hold its September dinner meeting at Littleton Cafe, next Thursday, September 13, at 6pm for 6.30. Bookings are essential, phone Judith on 6494 5884 by 6pm Monday, September 10. Please inform Judith at the time of booking if you have any special dietary needs, caterers need to know when the numbers are finalised if alternative meals are needed.

There will be no guest speaker this month as it is our trading table month, so please bring along any saleable items to help raise funds. It will also be a trivia night, so lots of fun to be had. Don’t forget to bring along a baby/young person photo of yourself this meeting, ready for our competition in October.

New members are always welcome, contact Judith on 0407 433 312 for more information. VIEW members raise over $1million annually for The Smith Family and sponsor more than 1100 Learning for Life students.  Bega Evening VIEW Club directly supports 2.5 of these students.

Tathra auxiliary

The Tathra Hospital Auxiliary  AGM was held on August 8 where the hard working committee was duly re-elected.  Many thanks to guest speaker Sue Atkinson from Hillgrove House, for a very motivational talk on volunteering and how to attract new volunteers.  A  “wishlist” was discussed and we look forward to a new year of successful fundraising for the hospital.  During the month members have been involved in a Charity Golf Day and are now gearing up for the Christmas Fair to be held at Tathra Hall on December 2, an event not to be missed.

Garden club

The Cobargo garden and friendship club will met on Monday, September 10 at noon at the home of Sally and Otto, 350 Yowrie Rd, Wandella. Bring your own lunch and a mug for a hot drink. Tea, coffee and cake will be provided. Thanks to all the folks who attended last month’s meeting at Robyn and Bob’s. We all had a lovely time with lots of delicious food. For more information ring Robyn on 6493 8324.
