The launch was held on Tuesday night, September 4, where the stars and their dance partners were officially announced.
The third gala event raising money for Cancer Council NSW will be held on November 2 at Club Sapphire Merimbula.
Each local “star” is partnered with a local professional dance instructor to perform a dance routine, competing for the judges’ and audience’s votes on the night.
The event is aiming to raise $30,000 for Cancer Council’s services in the local community. Funds raised will help to provide support for people in the Bega Valley community affected by cancer.
“I am so excited about this year’s Stars of Bega Valley event,” Kelly Hayes of Cancer Council NSW said.
“It is such a fun and entertaining way for like-minded business people to come together and show their support of people affected by cancer.
“The courageous stars will step out of their comfort zone and put on a night of fun and entertainment, while raising funds for their local community.”
This year’s lineup of local “Stars” includes Michelle Pettigrove and Frankie J Holden, Clair Mudaliar from E2B Phone Repair, Mia Maze from Click Click Boom, Melanie Warren from Eden Gas and Gear, Rob Zelley, Wendy McDonald, Lisa Van Der Hout from the Iron Stronghold and Debra Summer.
Each star will fundraise for Cancer Council NSW in the lead up to the gala event and have their own fundraising page where online donations can be made.
Tickets for the gala event and two-course dinner where they will all perform their routines are available from Club Sapphire
