The seed was supplied by Michael Fiedler, environmental officer with Bega Valley Shire Council, ably assisted by Paddy Farrell.
The seeds used were three types of native grass: weeping grass, wallaby grass and kangaroo grass. The group also scattered the seeds of exotic shrubs rye corn and oats.
There were 10 TLC volunteers who worked for two-and-a-half hours in the steep burned-out gully that had almost no vegetation cover and would be very susceptible to severe erosion in the event of heavy rainfall.
TLC will continue to work in rehabilitating the bushfire damaged areas of Tathra.
