On Thursday pupils dressed up as their favourite characters and showed off their costumes at a parade with their parents and peers.
“Books allow you to use your imagination more than other media because other media present it for it,” director of curriculum at SCAC Jack Shannon said.
“You can create your own pictures when you’re reading.
“It can take you into realms you haven’t thought of before.
“The list is endless!”
