And write it down in black and white. You become a scatterbrain when under stress.

Massive thank you goes out to all the fire fighters battling the blaze!

Great job BDN - you are a wonderful communication hub for us all. Heart felt thanks to the firies yet again. Not all super hero’s wear lycra. Here’s an idea - how about tomorrow, we mere mortals donate $10, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to your local bush fire brigade?
Chris Sparks
They are unbelievable and everyone should be proud of the amazing job they do without being paid for it.

Well done BDN, yet again. Top work. Having spent time in Bemboka, Bega and Tathra the last few days, it’s hard to know the area is threatened again. Stay safe, everyone.

Tropical fish numbers increase as waters warm
As a regular snorkeler around our beaches, rocks and estuaries, I've seen many tropical fish. I watched a guy collecting quite a few at Merimbula just up from Bar Beach. He said they were going to die anyway, as the water turned cold. Most were very small and really colourful.

We have extreme changes now and have for a long time, from 10 to 24 degrees off our coast annually. The cold water push up the coast goes to Sydney and beyond, your theory was stated by CSIRO years back, and there’s been colder water ever since! The warm east coast current 24 degrees plus used to go down to Hobart but has not for approx 20 years. All I can say is bring the warm water on ASAP!
