Cricket on the Far South Coast could be seeing a boost as it joins as part of the new ACT/Southern Zone.

All club juniors are invited to attend a special session in Merimbula to learn about new plans for identifying player potential.

Coaching and talent ID specialist Steve Davies will be at Merimbula’s Berrambool Oval on Sunday to go through new pathways and talent processes for boys and girls.

Association officials said Steve is a former coach of the Sydney Thunder women’s team and he will be joined by Steve Jenkin, a former NSW Breakers and Australian Women’s Head Coach, for the ACT/Southern Zone girls academy session prior to his presentation.

“We will be having a sausage sizzle for everyone straight after the academy session finishes at about 3pm,” a spokesman said.

“Then start Steve’s presentation at 3.30pm which will run for an hour with plenty of time for questions.”

All FSCCA junior clubs are encouraged to send representatives, whether officials, coaches or interested parents.
