More than 50 South Coast artists and art collectors have generously donated works for the fundraiser – paintings, prints, textiles, ceramics and jewellery – a great opportunity to acquire a quality artwork and support a great cause. Proceeds of sales will go to Julie and Lizzie to assist them to re-establish their studios and art practice.
There will also be a raffle, with funds raised going to the local fire brigades. First prize is a beautiful artwork by Annie Franklin titled ‘Imam Bayildi’ (the imam swooned), one of a series of paintings Annie did of her favourite recipes. Second prize: ‘The Road Home’ by Kim Falkenmire. Third prize: a funky denim quilt made by Fay Stafford. Tickets are $5 each. The raffle will be drawn on September 26.
All are welcome at the opening on Friday, August 24, at 5pm. Lucky door prizes at the opening and through the exhibition which runs to September 5.
Spiral Gallery is at 47 Church St, Bega. Open Mon-Fri 10-4, Sat 10-1. Inquiries 6492 5322.
