Josh Finucane was the star for the Sea Eagles at five-eighth, while hooker Benjamin Crowley scored a double in the win.
The first half an hour of the match was tight, as the two sides traded tries through Dylan Fletcher and Josh Finucane.
The match looked set to go into the break tied at six, but two late tries to the Sea Eagles through Crowley and Glenn Martin to give them a 16-6 lead at half time.
The Bulldogs played with energy in the first five-minutes of the second half, and they were rewarded when Richie Reynolds barreled over next to the posts to bring them back to within four points.
However, Tathra responded with two tries in three minutes, as Jesse Hoyland-Meaker and Matthew Rutter scored to give the Sea Eagles a 26-12 lead.
Tathra’s next try was the best of the day, as Samuel Cochrane flew high in the corner to take a bomb before getting an offload away to Samuel Peters for the match-sealing tries.
Merimbula-Pambula’s Andrew Evelyn got over the line late, before Tathra’s Benjamin Crowley scored his second of the day to cap off the 20-point win.
The Sea Eagles will travel to Batemans Bay next weekend to take on the Cooma Stallions in the Preliminary Final.
