Bega recorded its coldest overnight temperature for winter so far with -3.8C on Sunday, July 15 – the same recording as on Wednesday, July 11 – which was 6.2 degrees below average.
On that Wednesday, Merimbula’s overnight temperature tipped just below zero with -0.4 degrees recorded.
Friday also saw July’s coldest maximum daytime temperature for Bega with the mercury peaking at 14.8C.
According to Weatherzone, the rest of this week is positively tropical, with overnight lows of 1-3C and daytime maximums ranging to 20 degrees (Tuesday).
