Its working bees in May and June have been to collect rubbish in the burned areas from Kianinny Bay to the headland, around the memorial gardens and up Wharf Rd to Cliff Place.
In May, TLC collected 12 big agricultural bags of rubbish as well as lots of large items including a car engine, chicken wire, fibro sheets, plastic sheets and various steel structures.
In June, the group had a similar experience filling 13 large bags. Most of the material from the burned bush was glass - smashed beer and wine bottles that took a long time to remove.
When TLC started 25 years ago there were hundreds of bitou bush plants on the dunes around Tathra Beach, but this year only one plant was found on the entire beach.
