For Bega mother Kate Ireland, the fair was a chance to feed her children’s love of reading.
“I don’t have as much time to read as I used to, so I look for books the children will enjoy reading multiple times, and I always keep an eye out for the classics,” she said.
The three day event at the Bega Showground Pavilion raised over $13,000 for the Community Carers Accommodation South East organisation, and the community driven Tathra Fire Appeal.
Bega Rotary president Margaret Taylor said many shoppers who have bought books in previous years have donated them back to be resold.
She thanked the many community groups and volunteers involved for their help in making the event a success.
