The carnival will see clubs from across NSW descending on Artie Smith Oval, West Street Oval and the Nowra Showground, featuring teams from the Shoalhaven, Illawarra, Sapphire Coast and the Central West will contest the under 13s, 15 and 17s boys age groups.
Matches run from Friday to Sunday and the Sapphire Coast AFL have put forward a team in all four grades to contest the carnival.
Teams were announced in June and have had three joint training sessions and a jersey presentation in the lead up to the weekend carnival.
The Youth Girls outfit could be one of the Coast’s strongest performers, featuring the three SCAFL girls who competed in the national titles earlier this year.
Jorja Moore and Grace Gowing from the Bermagui Breakers will combine with Tathra’s Tarni Evans to form a spine of the outfit that features players from north to Narooma and four young guns from the strong Eden outfit including Shanic Mongta, Anna Crawford, Alexis Watson and Chloe Henderson.
Bega’s Darby Hayes will join with Tathra’s Jardy Palmer and Indiana Cook in the 13s, while the team also features players from Narooma to Pambula.
Four Tathra juniors will line up in the 15s with Khama Geisler, Jack Faulkner, Keegan Burhop and Maximillion Navarrete all pulling on the rep jumper alongside a Bermagui and Narooma dominated line-up.
In the 17s, Tathra’s Billy and Doug Stubbs will take part alongside team-mates Zac Harlow and Finn Walsh.
The strong Merimbula Diggers have a lion’s share of players named in the 17s with six young guns called up for duty.
SCAFL officials said it will be a fantastic opportunity for young guns to pit themselves against some of the best players from NSW including the strong Illawarra and Shoalhaven leagues.
Organisers wished luck to all the kids taking part over the weekend.
There will also be club teams participating in a super nines and sensational 11s tournament at Tom Smith Oval, on Saturday only.
The super nines will features teams from Shoalhaven Giants, Kiama Power, Bomaderry Tigers, Highland Hawks, Bega Bombers, Batemans Bay Seahawks, Wollongong Lions and Shellharbour Swans. The Sapphire Coast will not feature in the 11s round robin.
Grand finals for all four representative grades will happen on Sunday, followed by presentations.
