Getting out to a 16-point lead before the Roosters got on the board, the Devils lamented a second half fight-back that gave the Roosters a 22-20 win in the first grade contest.
A single conversion kick provided the difference for the Roosters in icy winds at the Bega Recreation Ground.
Narooma captain-coach Todd Ayers opened the scoring in the first half with the prop charging through the Bega line for the four-pointer.
Five minutes later, Ali Elmasri crossed and the Devils pushed out to a 10-0 advantage.
With 10 minutes left in the half, Ryan Norris crossed and then converted his own try as the Devils surged to a 16-0 lead, but the Roosters soon turned play around.
The first points for Bega came through captain-coach Ryan Apps out of the centres just two minutes shy of the break.
The James Grant conversion meant the Roosters were trailing 16-6 at the break.
Despite fighting from behind, the Roosters had built their momentum into the second half with Hayden Parbery scoring off one of his trademark scoots to close the gap 16-12.
Just three minutes later Joe Scrymgeour extended Narooma’s lead 20-12.
With play fluctuating through the ruck, both teams battled back and forth, but it was still the Roosters looking dangerous as they rallied around the fringes.
With 15 minutes to go, Bega fullback Zach Cuzner broke loose to score and the Grant conversion had the hosts just two behind 20-18.
Then with less than three minutes on the clock, Scott Galeano pounced on a chance up the wing to land a try and put the Roosters ahead 22-20.
Despite a tough challenge, the result gave the Bega club three from four for the day, winning the reserve grade comfortably 58-4 and the league-tag 18-4.
However, the Devils clinched a two-point win in the under 18s 14-12.
In the reserve grade, the Roosters were resplendent with three separate players all scoring a pair of tries each with Trent Galli, Billy Hudson and Blake Grant each claiming doubles.
The Roosters were in complete control from the outset, setting up a 34-0 lead at the first break with Josh Shepherdson making few mistakes in his kicking game to convert seven tries on the day.
In the league-tag clash, the Chicks never looked in doubt after setting up a 10-0 jump at the break.
Manbir Randhawa opened the scoring before Jacinta Dummett crossed with Joccoaa Rogers converting the second try.
The second half was all Ash Londero, running in both tries for the Chicks to cruise home for the win.
The Roosters face the Bulldogs this weekend.
