Originally from the UK but now based in Melbourne, Fleassy Malay runs the city’s acclaimed women’s spoken word event Mother Tongue.
With a theatrical and yet deeply authentic performance style, she is renowned for captivating her audiences with depth, authenticity and humor.
Her poetry topics often centre around her personal experiences as a woman, mother, her queer identity, eroticism and spirituality.
Ms Malay will perform at the Speak Up Bega - Spoken Word Poetry Performance held on Friday, June 15 at Funhouse Studio, Bega starting at 6.45pm.
