About 2.20pm on June 11, the driver was stopped by Bega Highway Patrol Police on the Princes Hwy at Brogo after she was detected speeding.
During the stop the driver was subjected to a roadside drug test that returned a positive indication to cannabis.
Police searched the vehicle and allegedly found a small amount of cannabis leaf and seeds.
The female was arrested and taken to Bega Police Station for secondary drug testing.
She was issued a 24 hour notice of prohibition from driving and infringement notices for the traffic offence.
Police said legal action will follow after the results of laboratory testing are finalised.
