The total amount given has now reached $30,000. A morning tea, with delicious food supplied by the Heritage Centre, was held recently to present Molly Monck and Russell Henry with a certificate of appreciation.
If anyone has books, especially novels, they no longer need, please drop them off at the Heritage Centre – and purchase some more while there. This keeps the recycling going. All donations are greatly appreciated.
The winner of the beautiful quilt in the Mother’s Day raffle was Pat Johnston with Philip Wiltshire claiming the crocheted rug and Dave Greenland the scratchies.
Can Assist offers confidential financial assistance to people living in the Bega Valley Shire, while receiving treatment for cancer. All money raised stays within the shire. If anyone is in need of assistance please contact the liaison officer on 0439 328 634.
The branch has gained some wonderful new members in recent months but would love to have more. If anyone is interested the next meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 6, at 7.30pm in the meeting room at Club Bega.
