The Roosters will face the Bulldogs in a special Anzac commemoration round under lights on Saturday.
All veterans will be given free entry to the games in a nod to our service men and women.
“We’re going to observe the Anzacs when we host the Bulldogs in first grade on Saturday,” a club spokesman said.
The Last Post, the Ode and the Australian Anthem will all be held before the 6pm first grade kick off.
The Roosters, like so many other Bega clubs, have a strong connection to the history of Anzac and took part in the Bega march on Wednesday as well as laying a wreath during the ceremony.
“It’s a really important time of year for all of us as Australians,” club spokesman Dave Armstrong said.
“The team will have specially designed jumpers that epitomise the Anzacs and we’re delighted to clash with the Bulldogs who bring a good strong friendly rivalry.”
The jumpers will be auctioned off following the game on Saturday night, but Mr Armstrong said the club only had the 17 jumpers.
“We're hoping it will be a really fun night with some spirited bidding – they’re a very special one-off jumper.”
The auction will be held at the Grand Hotel with all proceeds going towards an electronic scoreboard for the ground.
Club officials said there would be plenty of passion as the Roosters and Bulldogs both go out looking to do their towns proud in a round that commemorates such an occasion.
And the passion will extend to the reserve grade and league-tag games as the tri-colours host Tathra for their first local derby in more than four years.
“It's great to see Tathra back in the competition,” Mr Armstrong said.
“The rivalry between us is fantastic and it’s a true local derby day all over and we have a good forecast for the night too.”
He said the Saturday evening fixtures were popular with both the supporters and players as well, with the Roosters expecting a few standout performances.
“Certainly Hayden Parbery at hooker has been our best three games in a row, but we've got Callum Bower Scott in the under 18s and enjoying a couple of starts in first grade,” Mr Armstrong said.
“You add hard-working quality forwards to that mix Jarrod Tamatea and Mitch Carter it should be a great night of football.”
The league-tag match will open the afternoon with the ladies to run on at 1pm.
The under 18s get on the field at 2pm with the Roosters hosting the Eden-Mer-Pam combine.
3.30pm is the Chicks against the Eden-Mer-Pam Tigerettes.
4.30 is the reserve grade against the Sea Eagles with the headline first grade game to go on at 6pm.
