Light swirling breezes had the flags pointing toward each other, away from each other, up the range, down the range and occasionally all pointing the same way.
Officials said this had more of an impact on the scoring than many would have imagined.
Mark S made the most of the conditions with everyone in F standard class, scoring 114/4 of the possible 120/20.
Craig S was runner-up with 109/5 and then four points back was Colin T in third with 104/4.
Tony G scored 99/4 and Ole E hit 97/1 just one back was Tim C on 96/2.
Rounding the field were Chris H with 94/1 and Zac H with 84/2 respectively.
Officials said “most of us picked it up a bit in the second set as the breeze softened, but it was still tricky”.
Newcomer Zac had his first go on the club .308 after having a couple of days on the light kicking club .223, his habits show potential that belies his score.
