Robert ‘Frog’ Little married Valerie Scott at St Marks Church in South Hurstville Sydney on April 13, 1968.
In 1980 they took up residence in Tathra and bought the Tathra Hotel.
Their children – Anthony (Ant), David (Croc), and Doug (Plugga) – inherited a strong love for the Tathra community from their parents, and have passed that heritage on to their own families.
It was Rob’s love of Aussie Rules football that inspired him to lay the foundations of the Tathra Sea Eagles Football Club back in 1983.
Rob was the first president of the club in 1984 as well as the first life member. Val is Rob’s rock and duly received life membership in 1986.
Their longtime contributions not only to the football club but to the Tathra community are well recognised.
While owners of the Tathra pub, many anniversary celebrations, ongoing social interaction, and entertainment proved to be a regular feature of this establishment.
Many of Australia’s top bands have played to packed audiences at the Tathra pub over the years.
To celebrate such a special golden anniversary occasion, Rob and Val enjoyed a gathering of family and friends at their son’s well respected Fat Tony’s Restaurant.
While Anthony and David and their families were in attendance, Doug also made an appearance via Facetime from his new home in the United States.
