The Sapphire Coast Music Society is delighted to have the highly popular Strelitzia Trio return to Wolumla Hall for a concert on Sunday, April 15. Eleanor Betts (cello) one of the founding members of Strelitzia will be joined by two new members, Caroline Hopson (violin) and Jeremy Eskenazi (piano).

The trio will perform a diverse, predominantly romantic program that includes Beethoven’s Trio in B flat Major, Op. 11, Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No 1 in D minor, Op 49 and Piazzolla’s seductive Verano & Primavera from Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.
Caroline Hopson is a freelance violinist based in Sydney and performs regularly with a number of major orchestras including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Opera Australia Orchestra and Richard Tognetti’s acclaimed Australian Chamber Orchestra. Cellist Eleanor Betts has also performed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and ACO as well as a number of overseas orchestras. In 2010 she was chosen as one of the ACO’s emerging artists. Eleanor works mainly as a freelance Cellist in Sydney. French pianist, Jeremy Eskenazi, is both a sought after soloist and chamber musician. He has performed in many venues around the world and holds a PhD in Performance Practice from the Royal Academy of Music. All three musicians have a most impressive musical background and training.
This promises to be an alluring afternoon of musical entertainment.
Doors open at 2pm for the 2.30 performance.
All tickets are $25. Accompanied children under 16 are free. The price includes afternoon tea.
