The Sapphire Coast Anglican College students, along with science teacher and head of Flynn House, Casey Hoynes, unloaded fresh and packaged food to the Sapphire Community Pantry, collected as part of a fundraiser this week.

Ms Hoynes said the students wanted to donate locally, and collected fresh produce from the school’s garden and the student’s home gardens.

“It feels like you’re actually doing something for the community,” Lydia said.

Zali said she hopes the donation will become a regular event between the school and the pantry.

“Doing it feels better than just saying you are going to do something for the community,” she said.
