The eight performers riding this groovy bus have personalities just as large as the music stars they cover.
The Bus that Rocks is filled with explosive talent and each and every artist is totally unique in their style and genre, from country to rock-and-roll, pop and comedy.
A huge variety of music is featured in their two and a half hour show, which pulls up the the Bega Country Club on Saturday, March 10.
The bus doors swing open with two classic songs from the legendary 60’s band, The Turtles, followed by the sounds of the Beach Boys.
Then everyone's favourite country singer, and the man in black, Johnny Cash is celebrated on stage with a performance of two of his greatest hits.
Without skipping a beat, covers of the Diamonds, Connie Francis, Sandy Shaw and Frank Ifield follow in succession.
The sounds of Petula Clark and Nancy Sinatra are also brought to the stage, closely followed by a tribute to Australia’s own King of Rock N Roll, J.O.K. Johnny, which will have the crowd on their feet rocking, rolling, clapping, stomping and shouting as only his music can.
A nod to Dusty Springfield shows those other girls how it is really done with Son of a Preacher man.
The greatest hits of legendary husband and wife duo Sonny and Cher are performed on stage, with all Sonny’s antics and the magic of Cher’s 6 decade career.
Not to be outdone, the Buddy Holly, Dell Shannon, Billy Thorpe, KD Lang and Roy Orbison, Demis Roussos and the Righteous brothers are also portrayed with talent and authenticity by The Bus that Rocks.
The Bus That Rocks perform at the Bega Country Club on Saturday, March 10 at 8pm. Tickets are available through Club Bega.
