Ryan Apps will return to the lead role of the first grade side alongside his cousin Michael Apps.
“Both are true Roosters through and through with Ryan a premiership winning coach with Grant Jessop three years ago and Mike returning to the colours where he made a first grade debut in 2006,” a club official said on social media.
“We are delighted with these signings and – with the rumours of a few others moving back to Bega – we are truly elated.”
The 2017 premiership winning reserve grade coach Scott Barton will reprise his role with the club and signed on for another year.
“He is a great club person and coach that did a fantastic job with the team this year,” the officials said.
“He’s keen to take the team to back-to-back results.”
While a few injuries hindered the Roosters under 18s, Grant Dowdle has again raised his hand to lead the new generation of Roosters.
Officials said Dowdle would retain a core group of his players again this year, while also gaining the services of some exciting young talents rising from the under 16s ranks.
Our League Tag appointment has now been finalised with Ray Ringland and daughter Ali Ringland taking this position. Our League Tag were unlucky not to make the Grand final this year although 2018 is looking like their chance to shine.
The club also thanked Kane and Ricquel Morgan for their efforts in coaching and Ricquel’s work as treasurer over the past few seasons.
