Bike thief targets caravan parks and homes

As many as nine bicycles valued at almost $9000 have been stolen from homes and caravan parks along the Far South Coast.

The bikes were taken from caravan parks in Tathra and Merimbula, and a carport at Pambula Beach between October 6 and October 7.

According to police, some bicycles were unsecured at the time.

Police are investigating and anyone with information is asked to contact Crime stoppers on 1800 333000.

Far South Coast Local Area Command police urge the community to be mindful of their possessions and secure all items.

Police warned bikes should be stored out of sight, and secured while unattended.
