Gateway signs ready to greet visitors in 2018

Giant entry signs to the Bega shire – made of timber salvaged from Tathra Wharf after it was severely damaged in last year’s super storm – are expected to be ready for installation in the first half of 2018.

The three signs – which include an image of Brown Mountain and a kangaroo to greet visitors at Bemboka, a seven-metre-tall whale tail south of Eden, and cows for Cobargo – are under construction and will be installed once RMS approval is provided.

The recycled timber signs were designed locally by Dirk Signs and are being made in Melbourne by Sign Express.
