Bega’s James Bower-Scott, Merimbula-Pambula prop Grant Moon and Bombala’s Luke Ingram have all been named in the squad that extends from Canberra to the Victorian border.
The team will also feature former Bega junior Adam Lucas, who now flies colours for the Woden Rams.
Under guidance from the Canberra Raiders, the team has been forged from the best players between Gungahlin to Goulburn and Group 16 in the south.
In a coup for Group 16, Bega Rooster Ryan Apps has also been named as an assistant coach for the young side.
“Congratulations to all the local players who have been named in the Monaro side,” said Bega Roosters president Gary Arkin.
Arkin also commended Group16 chairman Allan Wilton who has a long involvement with rep footy and will serve as joint-team manager for the squad alongside Joe Stephens.
