Those wishing to donate to Cooper Finnegan’s cause must buy a ping pong ball and write their name on it for a raffle.
The raffle’s winner will get to choose what hairstyle the Tathra Public School pupil will get when he cuts off his long locks next month.
So far, ideas for the new look he will end up with includes becoming bald or getting a rainbow afro.
Through convincing people with a PowerPoint presentation he made himself, Cooper has already raised $860 that will go towards the Starlight Children’s Foundation’s wish granting and the Children’s Cancer Institute.
The decision to help out kids in need came about when he decided he wanted to cut his hair.
“Instead of just cutting it off I thought I may as well do it for a good cause,” he said.
To donate toward Cooper’s fundraiser, contact his mother Jo Heman on joheman@hotmail.com or call 6494 5975. Ping pong balls are $5 each.
