In the Bega Valley, the council is supporting four community run events as part of its grant-funded Migrant and Multicultural program.
Harmony Day is officially marked on Tuesday, March 21. However, to get locals in the mood, a didgeridoo workshop and performance with Richard Perso and Nathan Lagon will take place on Monday, March 20, from 5-6.30pm at the Candelo Town Hall.
Then on Tuesday, everyone is invited to a multicultural lunch at the Bega CWA hall, 31 Church St, from 11.30am until 1.30pm. Bring a plate from your cultural background to share.
In Eden, a multicultural street barbecue will take place at the Uniting Church from 12pm on Tuesday
Meanwhile, later in the week there will be dance workshops and demonstrations in Littleton Gardens, Bega.
From 10am until 12.30pm on Friday, March 24, enjoy aikido, Zumba, flamenco, yoga, Bollywood, and hip hop demonstrations, as well as play activities for children.
All activities are free and open to everyone.
