Management plans which will help guide the environmental health of Cuttagee, Middle and Nelson Estuaries have been adopted by council.
Councillor Liz Seckold called the reports “a really quite extraordinary piece of work” adding that the shire didn’t have the best oysters without the best estuaries.
Council’s director planning and environment Andrew Woodley said that although the catchments were small, they were environmentally significant.
The plans for Middle Lagoon, Nelson Lagoon and Cuttagee Lake can be viewed on council’s website.
