The Wharf Local opened its doors on Tuesday following repairs for the damage the structure suffered during the heavy rains in June.
Cafe owners Poppy and Emma Benton said the ceiling, electrics and wall paneling had been damaged, but after renovations the shop was now better than before.
“We’re really excited to be up and running after six months down and it was a great opportunity to have a rethink about what we do,” Emma said.
The shop was welcomed back with gusto as the first day had been “insane”, it was so busy.
Repairs to the wharf itself are also completed, allowing access for pedestrians ahead of the summer season.
