A possible new species of peacock spider was found at the Four Winds Bioblitz last weekend.
During a survey lead by Stuart Harris, the unidentified species was found by Helen Ransom of Narooma and photographed by Mr Harris. Confirmation will be required to determine if it is a new species.
Atlas of Life chair Libby Hepburn described the spiders as “jewels in the leaf litter”.
She said the bioblitz was well attended, with over 60 surveys, art masterclasses and a musical performance.
