The annual gala dinner and community fundraiser is to be held on Saturday night, October 22 at Oaklands Event Centre.
With a theme of “A Night on the Nile” you can let your imagination run wild.
Head along as a pharaoh, Cleopatra, a slave, an archaeologist – Indiana Jones anyone? – or even a character from an Agatha Christie mystery.
Top class music and entertainment from Stonewave Taiko drummers and Sam Martin and the Sundowners will ensure it’s a night to remember.
Added to all the fun, there is the big charity auction, where you could pick up a wonderful three-day stay in Sydney with tickets to the opera, a skiing holiday, sporting activities and even the chance to fly a Boeing 777 flight simulator!
Last year, around 140 people donated over $20,000 on the night, with three quarters of that amount being raised during the auction alone.
All the money raised by the Mumbulla Foundation is funnelled back into the community through grants to small not-for-profit groups and charities, as well as funding university and school scholarships.
In its 15 years in operation, the foundation has given almost $1million in grants to over 200 organisations in the Bega Valley.
So why not get together with a group of friends, make up a table of 8 or 10 and have a great night out while helping to raise funds to assist many not for profit organisations in the Bega Valley.
It’s easy. Just jump on to the Mumbulla Foundation website at www.mumbulla.org.au and book your tickets before October 16.
Meanwhile, applications for the 2016 Mumbulla Foundation grants are being assessed and recipients will be advised in November. A presentation will be held in December at the University of Wollongong Bega campus.
The Mumbulla Foundation 2016 Gala Dinner is proudly sponsored by Bega Cheese and is also supported by Fairfax Media, 2EC Radio, Sapphire Coast Buslines, Merimbula Jewellers and Excell Print.
