The service held at the Bega War Memorial Gate was emceed by John Watkin and attended by many current and former service men and women as well as members of the public.
David Grainger read the Prologue and students from Sapphire Coast Anglican College - Brittany Meers and Jake Whyman - and Bega High School - Joccoaa Lee and Jamie Inkster - led the service in the Recessional Hymn.
Pastor Ross Taylor from the Bega Valley Christian Life Centre read the Prayer of Remembrance.
Wreaths were laid on the Memorial Gate before the familiar refrain of The Last Post sounded.
At the conclusion of the service, Mr Watkin invited all returned service men and women to join the Bega RSL sub-branch for a coffee at McDonald's.
