Dakota and the team will travel to Sydney where they will take on other states in the National Carnival from July 20 to 26.
Matches will be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground and other surrounding venues.
Dakota said she was thrilled with her selection as one of only 23 girls statewide to make the team.
“[I am] the only South Coast girl,” Dakota said.
Unfortunately, the players have to front the costs of travel, gear and accommodation themselves, with an early tally running over $1100.
To assist with the costs of travelling for the carnival, Dakota is seeking sponsorship or donations from local businesses and sporting clubs.
“To achieve my dream, I need to raise funds ... I am reaching out to all businesses, associations and sporting clubs.” she said.
Dakota said she is happy to receive any amount clubs or businesses are able to offer towards her trip.
“Any amount would be truly appreciated.
“A donation will assist me in achieving my goal of not only representing the state, but the beautiful South Coast.”
As a sign of her gratefulness, sponsors are being offered a team photo and thank you card from Dakota.
