The opening of the unit on Newtown Rd in Bega was the culmination of two years’ hard work by many dedicated NSW SES members and support from Bega Valley Shire Council.
"The new operations centre is fantastic and will be a great asset for the Bega Valley,” Bega Unit controller Yvette Ringland said.
“Our membership has increased and we hope to welcome even more new members to the Bega Unit.
“Training is at 6pm on Wednesday nights at the new headquarters on Newtown Rd, Bega, and anyone interested in joining Bega SES is welcome to come to a training night and have a look around and chat to our members,” Ms Ringland said.
