Mr Claringbold said between the Soundshell and the Windsong Pavilion, Four Winds’ “beautiful facility” is “amongst the best you’d expect to find anywhere in the world”.
“It is a tribute to the energy of the Four Winds committee and the community,” Mr Claringbold told the BDN.
“It shows a great foresight and strength of commitment to the arts and the community.”
Mr Claringbold said with his Opera House expertise he had been proud to help with sound production at Four Winds and had a deep involvement with the design of the pavilion.
“Seeing people build great venues for artists makes you proud.
“I think Four Winds will be placed among the greatest musical festivals in the world.
“The experience for me is just so much about the ocean, the local produce and the surrounding natural beauty as it is about the music.
“That’s a really powerful package.
“Anyone in the world will want to come and play here.”
