Coach, and career advisor, Stephen Diprose said it was the group B - or South Coast - playoffs between Bega and Bombala.
Lachlan Gordon, Sammie Smith and Bruce Limb formed the Bega squad.
The two groups played a best of three match with Bega emerging the winner, taking out the first two games.
“They play three-bowl triples,” Diprose said.
“Bega High won by two matches, the first was a wipeout, but the second was much closer.”
The final result saw Bega win 25-8 and 10-7 across the two 14-end games.
He said it was a friendly rivalry with Bombala and was a pleasant lead-up game to the Warilla tournament.
“We change it up a bit, everyone down here enjoys it,” he said.
Diprose said the Bega squad would now be invited to compete in Warilla on May 23.
“The winner plays at Warilla, that’s to decide the state team,” Diprose said.
However, Diprose said the northern area proved strong competition and no Bega teams had advanced to the state squad.
“We’ve been sending teams for three or four years and they haven’t gone further than that.”
A number of other high schools were invited, but could not field teams.
