BEGA police are investigating the theft this week of a unique mountain bike worth around $10,000.

The bike was reported as stolen from a residence in Bega St, Tathra, sometime between March 5 and 6.
According to police, the mountain bike is quite distinctive and is one of only a handful of its type in Australia.
The owner of the bike has contacted both Bega police and the Bega District News to offer a reward of $1000 for information leading to the recovery of the bike.
The police are appealing for anyone with knowledge regarding the theft of the mountain bike, or its current whereabouts, to contact Bega detectives on 6492 9999 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
