Hoang Cong Nguyen did not appear in court, but entered pleas of not guilty to four separate charges arising from the discovery of a crop of hydroponic cannabis in a house near Bega and his subsequent arrest in Condell Park, Bankstown, earlier this month.
NSW Police detectives estimated the cannabis crop had a street value of $1.5million.
Nguyen was charged with possessing a prohibited plant, cultivating a prohibited plant, possessing a prohibited drug and knowingly taking part in the supply of a prohibited drug.
He entered pleas of not guilty to all charges and the matter was listed for mention on March 25, again in Bega Local Court.
His conditional bail will continue.
