A MAN accused of threatening another man with a chainsaw at Candelo on Friday afternoon has faced charges in Batemans Bay court.

About 1.45pm Friday, a 31-year-old man allegedly attended a house on Williams St and threatened a male occupant.
Police allege he returned a short time later and stood outside the premises revving a chainsaw before fleeing the scene.
A search of the area was conducted by police and the chainsaw was found at a house nearby.
The 31-year-old man was arrested after being located by police at a house in Eden St.
He was charged with being armed with intent, intent to intimidate and stalk, possess article with intent to destroy or damage property, and custody of a knife in a public place.
Police later dropped the charges of possess article with intent to destroy or damage property, and custody of a knife in a public place.
He appeared before Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday morning where he pleaded guilty to being armed with intent and intent to intimidate and stalk.
The man was refused bail and the matter adjourned until March 17 at Batemans Bay Local Court.
